International Women's Day Taupo Luncheon

This year the Taupō IWD lunch event is returning with a slight change - we have an inspirational panel discussion planned, as well as one amazing guest speaker.

With the opportunity for more open discussion, connection and laughs, this event will be sure to inspire, engage and connect you with other local, like-minded women.

And you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Brantry Eatery, a complimentary cocktail and some amazing spot prizes.

The theme of IWD for 2024 is “Inspire Inclusion”.  When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.

Inclusion means everyone is welcome, we would love to see more men in the audience this year!

Introducing our Guest Speaker:

Juliet Hull, CEO and Co Founder Sleaktek LTD - A revolutionary answer to plastic waste and climate issues. Juliet is also the TEC CEO Chair, a business consultant and all around amazing woman who will share some insightful stories of working in the start-up space as a female co-founder.

Introducing our Panel:

Vanya Insull - owner of VJ Cooks, a local success story, having built up her online business to nearly 400k followers on social platforms, with two published cookbooks and a Mum of two boys, VJ is a very busy, inspirational woman!

Andy Blair - Co-Founder & Director at Upflow, and the 2023 WE Empower Award Winner. Andy is a leader in the women in geothermal space, as the co-founder and board member of WING (Women in Geothermal). Andy is a trailblazer, leading the way for womens inclusion.

Jess Fitzgerald - Founder of Mollumclear, a beloved natural product in Kiwi households, and Co-founder of 2Gen - Success with Technology, an IT company serving Gold Coast businesses since 2007. As a busy Mum of three and proud Taupo local, Jess will inspire us with her stories of working in the IT space for over 15 years.

Kat Roberts, our MC for the event, is a seasoned entrepreneur, with a passion for women in business, as well as being a Mum of five, she will host the panel and open to the audience for questions and discussions.
