Turangi Events & Activations Role

Amplify are recruiting for a new Turangi Events & Activations role, based in Turangi.

The primary objectives of this position will be to:

  • Add vibrancy to the community by supporting and delivering events, activations and collective marketing.

  • Increase participation and collaboration between the community and business owners.

  • Support events and activities that have community benefit.

Responsibilities for this role will include producing an event calendar with all community and business events, creating four Turangi Town Centre events, establishing a volunteer group to support delivery of events, working with Iwi / Hapu as well as other agencies to extend the delivery of suitable events into Turangi and more.

To be successful in this role, you should have project or event management experience, marketing experience and / or experience with community event delivery; as well as strong communication skills, be self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic about contributing to community vibrancy.

This is a contracted position for 12 - 15 hours per week.
