About the Event

Steve Giles, TDC Events and Venues Manager will be our guest speaker.  

Steve is employed by TDC as the Kaiwhakahaere Papa Ngahau (Events and Venues Manager) for the district.  The organisations restructure earlier in 2021 aligned our district wide aquatic facilities, gym, rockwall, events centre, stadia, Great Lake Centre, sportsgrounds and events team into one team with 80+ staff.  The teams focus for the next 12 months will be to implement strategy, managing the assets in line with the LTP while delivering outstanding levels of customer service.

Steve will spend some time recapping on the effects of COVID-19 on the local events and venues scene over the past 20 months and our learnings from this.   He will then will focus on the PM’s Nov 29th announcement, vaccine passports, Covid Vaccination Certificates and how these will work within the traffic light system.  This is valuable information for implementing this framework to your own business
