Wikitoria Hepi-Te Huia is the Chairperson of Tauhara North No. 2 Trust group, representing the interests of one of New Zealand's largest Māori land trusts and a key partner in the Rotokawa geothermal field.


She descends from several iwi through different branches of her whakapapa (ancestral lineage), but it is through her mother Hirapu Ngāti Tahu whakapapa, that she maintains her connection to Tauhara North No.2 Trust. She is guided by the echoes of her grandparents Pairama and Herapeka Wharekawa, the last kaitiaki of Orakei Korako, whose memories remain woven through the land -

With a background in management and a strong grounding in te reo Māori and tikanga Māori, Wikitoria is passionate about her whakapapa, whānau, and whenua. Her work is guided by the echoes of her whakapapa and the principle of manaaki tangata, with a steadfast commitment to serving and advocating for her people.


In her role, she brings a Māori landowner perspective to discussions about geothermal development, kaitiakitanga, intergenerational stewardship, and the opportunities geothermal resources can create for the current and future generations of Tauhara North No.2 Trust.


Wikitoria is dedicated to ensuring that the voices and aspirations of Tauhara North No. 2 Trust owners and beneficiaries remain at the epi-centre of decision-making, reflecting the Trust's enduring commitment to inspiring and connecting their whānau, whakapapa and whenua through mātauranga Māori.
