Tomoya Nagumo is Manager, Corporate Planning & Business Development for Obayashi Corporation’s Green Energy Division in NZ. Led Obayashi’s 50% investment in Eastland Generation, supporting geothermal and renewable energy development in BOP and Tairāwhiti. Also advancing Obayashi’s hydrogen business in New Zealand, including development of hydrogen infrastructure and supply chain initiatives. With experience across Asia and the Middle East, Tomoya brings a strategic perspective on integrating infrastructure, energy and decarbonisation. Holds an MBA from London Business School and focuses on renewable investment and commercially viable pathways for hydrogen in NZ’s low-carbon transition.
