John Gilliland is the Managing Director of JRG Energy and a senior geothermal engineer with experience across the global energy sector. Having worked in more than 35 countries, he has led multidisciplinary teams delivering geothermal exploration, drilling, well testing, feasibility, direct-use and capacity-building programmes. John advises governments, developers, investors and partners across Africa, the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific and beyond, helping advance practical geothermal projects, strengthen local capacity and build investment-ready project pipelines while still getting his hands dirty in the field as much as possible.
