Evelien Wallace is an Earth Scientist and energy transition professional with more than 16 years of experience across New Zealand's energy sector.

Her work has focused on helping accelerate the transition to a low-emissions energy system, with experience spanning geothermal energy, industrial decarbonisation, hydrogen, biogas, alternative process heat, energy storage, and wider energy innovation initiatives. Through a combination of technical understanding and programme leadership, she has worked alongside industry, government, researchers, and communities to advance practical solutions that reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Most recently, Evelien led a strategic portfolio of energy transition projects aimed at supporting the deployment and commercialisation of emerging low-emissions technologies across New Zealand.

Evelien is also the Taranaki Regional Ambassador for the New Zealand Geothermal Association and is a strong advocate for the role geothermal energy can play in New Zealand's energy future. She is passionate about connecting people, ideas, and opportunities to help deliver a successful and enduring energy transition.
