NZ Geothermal Week wins at EDNZ Best Practice Awards

We are thrilled to announce that NZ Geothermal Week, a collaborative initiative between Amplify and the New Zealand Geothermal Association (NZGA), has won the Best Practice for Collaboration Award at the recent Economic Development New Zealand (EDNZ) Best Practice Awards.

This prestigious recognition celebrates the outstanding partnership between Amplify, NZGA, and our major event sponsors Contact Energy, Mercury, GNS Science, and MB Century in delivering a high-quality, high-impact event that exceeded what could have been accomplished individually.

NZ Geothermal Week stands as a shining example of effective collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders to showcase and advance New Zealand's geothermal industry. The event's success demonstrates the power of strategic alliances in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Our collaborative efforts united 22 partners and sponsors from across the geothermal sector, including major energy companies, research institutions, and industry bodies along with companies supporting the sector. We attracted 476 industry leaders and professionals, along with over 400 community members and students, creating a vibrant ecosystem of knowledge-sharing and networking.

The Amplify team is incredibly proud of this achievement and the recognition it brings to our collaborative efforts. As we celebrate this success, we remain dedicated to fostering these working relationships and driving progress in the geothermal industry.

As Kennie Tsui, CEO of NZ Geothermal Association, aptly put it: "Together, we are driving progress, creating opportunities, and leading the charge in harnessing geothermal power for a thriving Taupō region."

We look forward to building on this success and creating even more impactful collaborations in the future. Stay tuned for NZ Geothermal Week 2025 plans as we continue to showcase the power of strategic alliances in the geothermal sector.
