About the Event

Warner Construction is proud to sponsor this year’s NZ Geothermal Week Industry Field Trips, providing those in industry with the chance to have a “behind-the-scenes” tour with the leaders of significant plants and projects within the industry.

Join Contact Energy and Warner Construction staff for a “behind the scenes” tour of the construction site for the new 168MW Tauhara powerstation, a $818 million build.

A lot has happened in a year!

The site is a hive of activity, with several hundred staff and contractors on site, and peak construction in full swing.  Earthworks for the powerstation have been completed and the turbine hall, pipeline corridor and substation are all under construction.  Production and reinjection wells have all been drilled and tested, and are ready for connection to the station.

Visitors will need to wear clothing which fully covers arms and legs and covered shoes.  Contact will supply additional PPE required on-site.

This event is limited to those working within or with the geothermal industry, or by invitation, and has been kindly sponsored by Warner Construction.

Space is limited to 50 people, so be sure to register quickly!

This event has been possible with the generous support of;
