Some fantastic Mobilo and iPad prizes are up for grabs for the future innovators and leaders of New Zealand’s geothermal industry!

About the Event
Amplify and competition sponsors GNS Science and MB Century want to challenge and inspire the next generation of geothermal innovators and leaders!
Teams of students will be challenged to work together to create and share their vision for two important areas of focus for the New Zealand geothermal industry, with entries to be submitted at the end of New Zealand Geothermal Week.
The Competitions
Our Future Engineers!
Primary School Challenge:
Design and build a model of a geothermal power station and explain how this makes electricity.
Teams of at least 4 students and up to an entire class of students, age years 1-6, enrolled in a school in the Taupo district.
The prize is $500 worth of Mobilo construction blocks for the winning team’s class or school.

The Future of Geothermal!
Intermediate & Secondary School Challenge:
Develop and present a vision for the future of the geothermal industry in the Taupo region, encompassing Vision Matauranga.
Diverse teams of 4 students, age years 7-13, enrolled in a school in the Taupo district.
The prize is an iPad for each member of the winning team.
