Industry Field Trip - Geoheat in Kawerau
Join us for a day trip to Kawerau, where geothermal heat and industrial processes have a long history of success

About the Event
This field trip will introduce you to the key players of Kawerau's geothermal industry. Including visits to Ngāti Tuwharetoa Geothermal Assets, Eastland Generation's Te Ahi O Maui Geothermal Power Station, and Essity's geothermally-powered tissue paper plant, you'll learn about the phenomenal power of this natural resource.
The trip will leave from outside the Great Lake Centre on Tongariro Street at 8am, with a stop in Rotorua at 9am for those joining us there. A packed lunch will be provided, and we will return to via Rotorua Airport, for those leaving via any late afternoon flights.
