About the Event

Bellwether is opening its HQ to give a little bit of a  view into how it's growing and pacing its traction into global markets.  This is a rare opportunity to get in the front door of a tech company that collects, harvests and sells data to a wide array of industries.  The foundations all reside here in NZ with customers in many other international markets. You will be surprised and hopefully inspired to meet the team and learn more about how this company trades data.

Heed is opening its doors to show people how to take an idea through to prototyping and into production using rapid design techniques.  Heed is about Protecting Waterways. Helping Councils monitor their water systems and prevent disasters.  Come and see 3D printers used in production runs, a living demo on how the tech works and meet the people behind the innovation that put it all together. Very rarely do people get a glimpse into the workings of a tech company and the thinking behind it.

Fritz from Heed has been a keen kayaker since he could walk and he has experienced the degradation of the rivers here in New Zealand firsthand. He is a serial entrepreneur with recent experience in designing and manufacturing electronics in Taupō (EyeFly). He has collaborated with Phil on other companies and they have a great complementary skillset. Fritz has a unique way of just getting people to get things done.

Phil from Bellwether leads a lean team, where you've got to bring your quirk to work, speed wins and execute the last mile. Some of the challenging values that take us towards the Bellwether vision. This is why Phil Elliott's normal is different to what most people have in their heads.

To lead an export company it takes a broad range of management skills and the ability to keep momentum while your team rotates in the front door and on to greener pastures. Phil is a super observer and notices things that others just don't see.  Phil believes now is the time for his New Zealand tech company to attract customers from offshore to his unique offer.
