Green Drinks Taupo

We are excited to re-launch a new version of Green Drinks Taupō, kicking things off with a visit to the inspiring Ecogas site at Broadlands on Wednesday 15th November hosted by Andrew Fisher, Director of Ecostock. 

A Shared vision for a truly sustainable solution

Pioneer Energy Limited and EcoStock Supplies Limited have joined forces to create  Ecogas.

Ecogas is operating NZ’s first anaerobic digestion system utilising waste to generate biogas and create renewable energy and carbon dioxide and a nutrient rich bio-fertiliser Fertify.

EcoStock provide sustainable recycling solutions for commercial food waste and have been operating in the resource recovery sector for over 12 years.

Based out of Auckland, EcoStock have been processing 35,000 tonnes of food waste every year into highly nutritious animal feed and organic fertiliser.

By recovering the energy in wasted food, EcoStock are reducing the overall waste that ends up in New Zealand’s landfills.

Schedule:

4:30pm depart Taupō for Ecogaas Site, Broadlands Road

5:00pm – 5.45pm Andrew will share his story

5:45pm – 6:30pm Ecogas site tour

6:30pm – 7:00pm Return to Taupō

Andrew is kindly supplying catering and soft drinks on arrival. 

Please wear covered & sensible shoes for the tour.
