About the Event
This workshop will consist of PechaKucha-style talks followed by interactive sessions to get people interacting and
providing feedback/thoughts.

Brian Carey - GNS Science: Project Leader of the Geothermal Next Generation GNS led research project
Chris Bromley â GNS Science: Geophysicist with lots of Geothermal research and applied science.
Simon Bendall â Traverse Environmental: Environmental planner and Geothermal regulation expert
Debra Kissick â Traverse Environmental: Environmental planner and Geothermal regulation expert
Other experts to be confirmed.
This workshop will focus on:
- Our energy needs and where geothermal can fit
- How much energy could we get (conventional, low temperature, superhot inventory report)
- Where are the resources
- Regulatory development
- Thoughts on geothermal systems boundaries.
The outcomes of this workshop will be used for the future of conventional and advanced geothermal science and possibly policy for Aotearoa New Zealand.
