About the Event
Here’s a good reason to inject some steam into your classroom STEAM activities this term!
GNS Science are proud to sponsor this year’s Geothermal School Science Competitions, helping to spark curiosity about STEAM in the next generation and grow understanding of how STEAM is relevant to this uniquely New Zealand source of energy.
Primary school teams are challenged to create a model of a geothermal system, explaining how these form and work, and where these are found. Winning teams will win a year’s subscription to House of Science for their school!
Secondary school teams are challenged to recommend a national portfolio of future energy sources that will enable New Zealand to meet its Net Carbon Zero goals. Each member of the winning team will win their very own iPad!
Click below to download flyer for details, including the competition brief, rules and eligibility criteria and how to submit entries.
Schools will need to register their team entries, and submit actual team entries either electronically or physically.
