About the Event
Join us as we celebrate the collaborative emission reduction efforts of Aotearoa's geothermal sector.
This workshop will be officially opened by Minister for Climate Change, Hon. Simon Watts. Following this, Minister Watts will join a panel of industry experts, as we learn more about the challenges and opportunities ahead for New Zealand and our industry's carbon reduction ambitions.
We will then hear about about the progress of the NZGA-facilitated emissions reduction group, a closed working group of geothermal generators with the common purpose of reducing the sector's emissions.
This workshop will be opened at 12pm, with discussions and presentations concluding at 1.15pm, followed by a light buffet lunch. There is adequate time to attend either or both of the day's field trips as well as this workshop.
This event is kindly sponsored by Eastland Generation.
