About the Event

Field Trip - Geoheat in Action, sponsored by Worley.

Geothermal heat, or geoheat, is a widely available energy option within Aotearoa, and can be used for a huge variety of heating and processing purposes. In this NZ Geothermal Week field trip attendees will learn more about some of the geoheat uses within the Taupō and Rotorua regions. Among destinations on this field trip we will visit PlentyFlora's grow site which uses geoheat to heat their glasshouses.

Who This is For

We encourage attendance from business owners who are looking at reducing fossil fuel dependence for their own operations as well as those interested in learning more about how to use geoheat.

Recommended Attire

Attendees are recommended to wear closed in, comfortable shoes and layers appropriate for cold weather. We recommend also packing a rain coat just in case.
