Destination Management Plan Hui - Turangi

Destination Great Lake Taupo (DGLT) the marketing arm of the Taupo District Council is preparing Te Ihirangi - A strategic Destination Management Plan for the Taupo Destination. Te Ihirangi will explore ways in which our Destination can grow sustainably and in a way that reflects our Destinations important values. Te Ihirangi will take a holistic approach, considering Social, Cultural, Economic and Environmental values of the destination. This current work is a continuation of work started in 2021 by Lynne Banford of DGLT and others. Rowan is tasked to complete this work and present to the Leadership Group by the end of 2022. The purpose of this hui is for Rowan to engage with the Turangi Community to understand any relevant issues, opportunities and planning currently being undertaken in our district. This is a chance to have your say on what is important to you and what you would like to see as part of the Taupo Region Destination Management Plan.
