Grant Jackson
Board Member
Since his graduation from Lincoln University in 1996, Grant has built an extensive agribusiness career through technical sales and management, finance and sector advocacy and leadership. Having held leadership roles with Summit Quinphos, Bank of New Zealand, Livestock Improvement Corporation, local dairy processor Miraka and his most recent role as General Manager of animal nutrition manufacturer SealesWinslow. Grant has a strong appreciation of commercial success within commercial organisations, rural support industries as well as behind the farm gate.
Grant is a Kellogg Rural Leader and is passionate about driving value within NZ's primary sector value chain, starting with innovative farm business sustainability practices. He has an active history of judging and chairmanship within the Ballance Farm Environment Awards and the National MPI Biosecurity Awards. Grant has developed strong competencies in strategy development, execution, project management, behaviour change management and people development and is regarded for his leadership as a communicator and influencer in the primary sector.
Although originally from the Auckland/Waikato region, he has worked throughout rural New Zealand, including 7 years in Southland. Grant currently resides in Taupo with his wife Jenny, and spends much of his free time with his three sons, all of whom attend Wairakei Primary School.
