The Taupo District offers a wide range of residential properties in a variety of urban and country settings,  with some stunning views of the lake and mountains on offer.

The Taupo District residential property market has proved to be very stable over the years, and with prices ranging from $190,000 upwards, there is property to suit all budgets.

We have significant land and building opportunities on offer, with a wide range of sections available throughout the district.

If country living is your style, we have plenty of rural land and ‘life-style’ blocks available, most of which are only a short commute to the CBD.

Renting is an attractive option in Taupo, with a wide variety of rental properties available, and at rates very competitive with rest of the country.

Waiariki Institute of Technology offers courses from trade certificates to Bachelor’s Degrees and beyond. The Taupo campus is just minutes from the town centre. Ample free parking is available for commuters and it is on a regular bus route.

Medical and hospital services

Taupo Hospital is situated in a residential area of Taupo about 4km from the CBD.

It has a 24/7 emergency department, inpatient unit, day unit and theatre, outpatient clinics by medical consultants and visiting specialists, maternity unit, pharmacy, clinical records, radiology, district nursing and clinical nurse specialists supported by an administration team.

The laboratory that is based in our hospital is run by Southern Community Labs and they provide the support for both hospital and community.
