DB Consulting Engineers has earned a reputation as one of NZ’s leading structural and civil engineering consultancies offering design work nationwide and on-site engineering services in Taupo (Head Office), Waikato, Thames/Coromandel, Auckland & Bay of Plenty. With development booming in our regions we are looking to grow our teams, which is why we need you!
This role offers extreme variety from the complete design of large commercial/industrial projects down to single element design on residential projects. Your work will include general structural designs using timber, steel and some concrete design for light residential/industrial projects. Working with our focused Taupo team you’ll also work with our wider national team.
Familiar with working in a fast paced, high volume environment you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of delivering quality work on time. As an Intermediate Engineer with solid consultancy experience, you’ll work autonomously as well as with the team to support continuous learning.
You’ll be a confident and effective communicator with all stakeholders able to create a clear job scope. With a quality focus you’ll also pride yourself on your productivity and ability to deliver economical designs to fulfill our clients’ needs. To be successful in this position you will be comfortable juggling conflicting priorities, thinking on your feet and skillful at managing expectations.
It is essential that you offer:
• Washington Accord Engineering Degree
• Registration with Engineering NZ
• Knowledge of NZ local authorities and building standards
• Full, clean, manual driver’s licence
• Health and Safety focus
And ideal if you can also bring:
• Experience with multi-storey builds
