Ranger Community, Operations Group

Here's an opportunity for a passionate conservationist with great people skills to join our Operations team. This role is all about getting others engaged and active in supporting conservation.

As a community ranger, you will be part of a small team, focused on finding new opportunities for communities, businesses, iwi, agencies, schools and individuals to get involved in conservation.

We are looking for a motivated and energetic, community minded professional to join our Taupo Team.

The ideal applicant will have:

Passion and knowledge about conservation
Excellent relationship skills and a proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of community outreach and/or education models, planning and organisation of projects
Excellent communication skills and have ability to transfer knowledge and enthusiasm to others
Understanding of the Departments Treaty obligations under Section 4 of the Conservation Act.
An ability to identify and develop new opportunities and collaborate with others to participate in conservation.
An ability to work in a strong team environment.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
