Department of Conservation
This advert is for a fixed term role ending September 2022.
The Department of Conservation is currently searching for an outstanding project coordinator to support the infrastructure redevelopment project currently being undertaken at Whakapapa and Iwikau Villages in New Zealand's very first national park.
This spectacular location in the heart of the north island is attracting a significant number of visitors every year. However, the influx of tourist activity brings increased pressure on the associated facilities provided to accommodate our visitors. In order to ensure we continue to provide a world class experience and avoid disruption for local stakeholders, we must assess and replace the infrastructure as required.
That's where you come in...
Based out of the DOC Taupo office, you will support the project management team for this crucial redevelopment project. You will form part of the team to successfully deliver the project to the planned scope time and budget. Throughout the duration of the assignment you will be required to produce timely reports and status updates. Subsequently, you will ensure that the various work streams are coordinated and communicating and that the project is integrated well into the department, in preparation for the smooth handover to business as usual. The duration of the project is until September 2022.
