Geothermal Maintenance Technician - Electrical
Due to an internal promotion Mercury's geothermal power station based in Mokai is seeking a maintenance professional with an electrical background to become an integral part of a team that maintains, operates, manages and continuously improves our geothermal generation assets.

This role has breadth across multiple maintenance disciplines, and requires someone with prior leadership experience including budget and project management.
In this role you will:
Manage and maintain generation assets
Implement asset management strategies
Monitor, report and make well researched and documented recommendations on generation equipment to optimise performance
Provide sound problem solving advice to all stakeholders
Manage yearly station outage and work programmes to meet targets
Manage and report on area specific budget
Manage contractors including scoping, evaluation, monitoring and reporting to ensure successful completion of project requirements
Manage area compliance with regard to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality complying with company policy and procedure and relevant statutory legislation.
Be trained in plant operation to enable you to provide shift cover if required.
We are looking for:
Previous experience in a geothermal industry and/or power generation would be advantageous though not necessary.
Extensive experience (e.g 5+ years) in a heavy process or manufacturing industry with an electrical background.
Qualifications in an electrical engineering discipline would be favourable with a minimum of Trade Certificate expected.
