Geothermal Cluster Lead
We’re seeking a part-time fixed term contractor to join our team. You’ll be tasked with leading a number of projects and workstreams under the NZ Centre for Geothermal Excellence cluster, including identification, ideation and development of new opportunities, developing and implementing a stakeholder strategy, delivering a public showcase event and acting as the key point of contact for the cluster.
This new role will work closely with numerous geothermal stakeholders across the district including generators, industry, Council, Central Government, iwi and developers.
Core accountabilities for the contract include undertaking a geothermal stakeholder and activity audit, engaging with the sector and supporting business case development, leading the Geothermal Innovation Hub project and development of the NZ Centre for Geothermal Excellence story.
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in either the geothermal or economic development sectors, project management and stakeholder engagement acumen, and experience in developing/writing pre-feasibility and/or investment cases. A good knowledge of the region and experience in Cluster Development is an advantage.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract, with potential for renewal.
