Building Management Officer (Inspections)

Are you a results-oriented individual looking for an opportunity to support the development within the booming district of Taupō?

Taupō District Council is looking for a building management officer to join their building inspection team. This team plays a vital role within council for the community and the work as a BMO can be highly diverse with interesting challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

carrying out all inspections during the construction phase to ensure compliance with consented plans.

conducting all inspections in line with the approved BCA quality management system.

The ideal candidate will:

have experience as the construction industry with an understanding of the building code.

have practical experience as a building control officer, with a recognised qualification under the Building (Accreditation of Building Authorities) Regulations 2006.

be determined to go the extra mile and provide a high level of customer service.

be keen to undertake further professional development and continual learning.

have excellent communication skills, be professional and approachable.

be ready to be part of an enthusiastic, fun and talented team.
