Beef Finishing Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our company as a Beef Finishing Specialist on Rangitaiki Station. Rangitaiki has a large scale and intensive cattle finishing system, farming bulls and steers. This role involves managing your own block, and further developing your intensive pasture and animal management skills. You will be responsible for pasture management, live weight production and maintenance of your own block. Our Beef Finishing Specialists all run their own Farmax files under the guidance of an external consultant with regular coaching sessions to enhance personal development. During quieter times in your block, there are also opportunities to work alongside team members across other enterprises to widen your skill set.
This role can be adapted to suit inexperienced staff with a motivation to learn, or experienced staff who can take on more responsibility. This role is ideal for those wanting to develop themselves and their careers, but would also suit those who would like to take a step back and immerse themselves in everyday farming.

Rangitaiki station is a large-scale sheep, beef and deer enterprise centrally located approximately 35 minutes east of Taupo, with 80,000 su and 8,300 ha effective. The position comes with a three-bedroom home suitable for both families and single applicants. A local primary school is close by and a school bus at the end of the road for children attending Rangitaiki School, and secondary schools in Taupo.
