Agriculture Tutor

Land Based Training is an innovative and award winning tertiary education provider that believes ‘Education is the key to making a difference in the lives of learners and their whanau’.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Tutor, who will provide teaching and learning experiences in which our students will be highly engaged.

These positions are for the delivery of level 2 Agriculture qualifications. The successful applicant must be able to facilitate engaging teaching and learning to a group of Agriculutre students who vary in age, gender, cultural backgrounds and learning abilities. It is critical that the successful applicant is able to display ongoing empathy for learners.

Successful applicants will have:

Previous experience in a variety of Agriculture environments.
Hold industry recognized qualifications.
Previous teaching experience in the tertiary sector, desirable but not essential.
Be committed to gaining appropriate teaching qualifications (with support from Land Based Training).
A high level ability to engage and excite learners, by making learning fun and interactive; your learners will want to come back for more.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Can accept and respond to a high level of accountability
Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed goals
